TDEE Calculator
TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) is the total number of calories your body needs in a day to maintain your current weight, considering all activities.
To calculate your TDEE, we first need to determine your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), which is the number of calories your body burns at rest. Then, we multiply that by an activity factor to get your TDEE.
Steps to Calculate TDEE:
Calculate BMR using one of the common formulas (Harris-Benedict or Mifflin-St Jeor).
Multiply your BMR by an activity factor based on how active you are:
- Sedentary (little or no exercise): BMR × 1.2
- Lightly active (light exercise or sports 1-3 days/week): BMR × 1.375
- Moderately active (moderate exercise or sports 3-5 days/week): BMR × 1.55
- Very active (hard exercise or sports 6-7 days a week): BMR × 1.725
- Super active (very hard exercise or a physically demanding job): BMR × 1.9
